Linux, Web Systems Administrator required for a new 3 month contract opportunity based in Reading, Berkshire.
As Web Systems Administrator you should be used to dealing with high traffic web environments and should be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Database administration, backup , restore and disaster recovery.
Experience with Linux is essential, ideally RHEL 5.0, Drupal experience is very desirable.
Responsibilities include: Implementation of backup strategies to ensure successful backups & recovery of the production and development environments. you will provide performance monitoring & database tuning, MySQL replication skill (with both Master - Slave and Master - Master replication is needed), Administration and support of existing databases whilst assuring optimised performance, stability, monitoring, and uptime, Scripts for monitoring, capacity planning, backups, replication start / stop.
