Non-Functional Test Consultant
Up to £30k + benefits
South Wiltshire
A leading software company focusing in high-reliability, scaleable applications are looking for a non-functional test consultant. You will possess a high level of skill in setting up and executing non-functional testing requirements such as performance, load, stress, fail-over, fail-back, backup and restore capabilities across a web and SQL environment. You will be required to design test strategies, develop test frameworks using open source tools and execute tests to ensure highest quality deliverables for maintenance and new feature releases. You will also need to diagnose and provide technical analysis for issues in a production environment. Within this role, you'll work closely with the development team to identify, design and enhance backend test development.
Required:
- Proven track record in performance, load and failover tests modelling methods.
- Be able to develop software programs needed to perform testing.
- Good programming skills in C or Java based on Windows and Linux.
- Proven experience in analysis of test results.
- High degree of initiative required in daily work.
Highly desirable:
- Practical experience of working with open source performance testing tools.
- Familiar with basic communication protocols.
