2 Microwave Design Engineers are required to carry out the development of architectures for a 2-3GHz RF power amplifier and Low Noise Receiver system.
The successful candidates will have previous experience of Solid State Power Amplifier design and RF and Microwave Circuitry design (up to 18 GHz) including Hybrid design.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in solid state power amplifier design but all candidates demonstrating a sound understanding of active RF and microwave will be given strong consideration.
Main Responsibilities:
Working within the Design department the Microwave Design Engineer will work to:
Undertake the development of architectures for a RF power amplifier and associated subsystem level specifications, to enable effective solutions to customer problems to be implemented
Design and develop appropriate active and passive RF and microwave circuitry (up to 3GHz) to meet subsystem requirements.
Work with the Sales and Marketing team and the Design Engineering Manager to establish Customer requirements at the bidding stage.
Qualifications and Experience:
Honours Degree in Electronics with a bias towards Microwave / R.F design
Experience in the hand's on development of Microwave systems, circuits and components. A heavy emphasis is placed on proven design ability on circuitry up to 18GHz
Thorough understanding of current analysis and design techniques, utilising CAE to supplement design assumptions.
Thorough understanding of current microwave technologies, devices and philosophies coupled with proven capability in developing designs for a manufacturing environment.
