This leading global provider of hosting, IP Solutions and managed networks are renowned for their high quality, customer driven solutions. Due to their continued success they have a brand new opportunity for an experienced Internet & Network Security Engineer to join their Network Security Team, providing a high quality consultancy and support service for all managed security customers.
The is a varied and exciting role in which you will be responsible for developing new security products and services, maintaining existing services and designs, designing solutions based on Cisco ASA and Checkpoint Firewall-1, providing input into security policies and procedures and diagnosing and responding to problems. In addition you will be building relationships between Network Engineering and the Security Team and a point of contact for technical expertise.
The successful Internet & Network Security Engineer will have a strong Network Security background and an indepth working knowledge of Checkpoint-1, IP Protocols, SSL based VPN's, Cisco ASA, and a range of firewall technologies. You should have a strong knowledge of Cisco equipment, be experienced with a range of operating systems such as UNIX, Linux and Windows and ideally have experience penetration testing and vulnerability scanning with commercial and Open Source tools.
