SQL Database Developer required in Cambridge for a global pharmaceutical research company. Solid experience creating and maintaining database applications in SQL, Perl and/ or C++/ Python is essential, preferably on SQL Server or MySQL. Further experience with tool creation, security and QA would be useful. You will be involved in the sustained design and improvement of their internal databases, web-based research databases as well as their project tracking systems. The successful candidate will need to work with the software manager and IT manager to make design and hardware decisions for the future of the department.

If you`re an experienced database developer used to working with SQL Server and/ or MySQL then this role will offer an excellent opportunity to get involved with a large and ground-breaking company working at the cutting edge of the R&D field. There is an excellent opportunity for progression and advancement and the right applicant will be able to improve both their skills and career. This role is based near Cambridge and is easily commutable from Saffron Walden, Stevenage, Newmarket etc.
