A market leading healthcare organisation who supplies to thousands of healthcare based organisations around the world is looking for an Application Support Manager. Due to their dramatic growth and increase in revenue they have expanded massively over the last few years employing healthcare specialists from all over the UK. They currently have an urgent requirement for an Application Support Manager.
As a Application Support Manager you will be accountable for the application support function. You will closely liaise with clients to understand their support requirements so that informed decision-making around priorities can be taken. Your main responsibilities as an Application Support Manager will compile of the management of application support function within the organization. As the Application Support Manager you will be managing teams of up to 20 staff which will entail the leadership, personal development and recruitment for the team. You will be accountable for the Issue Management across the application support function and the closure of any outstanding issues via liaison with the senior members of staff. You also manage all issues assigned to the application support team through to the necessary standards.
The ideal candidate will have had a large amount of IT experience preferably within a healthcare based environment. You must have had extensive experience with team management (to 15 people at least) is mandatory in obtaining this position. If you have any experience within a system testing/ technical or application support environment this will be very advantageous; the same applies for any customer management experience.
