Production Operations Manager
Our client is a Global Leader in the Aerospace & Defence sector. Due to expansion they are now looking to recruit a Production Operations Manager.
The Role - Production Operations Manager required to:
Internal
· To manage a multi-functional team
· Expert implementation of Design for Manufacture and Test methodologies for New Product Introduction.
· Enable regular management reviews with the Production, Project and Supply Chain Management teams.
· Derive and direct supply chain strategic and tactical improvements in accordance with cost, lead-time, risk and technology innovation objectives.
· Provide regular inputs to Production and Project Management teams on Production performance to ensure efficient management of all departments.
· Liaise with functional groups in the Company to obtain the necessary resources for timely project completion.
· Organise and run multi-functional teams and meetings in the endeavour to successfully deliver the Production Strategy
· Contributor to production process, systems and technology strategies.
External
· To proactively resolve all matters relating to Production performance and customer satisfaction with all necessary external stakeholders.
· To ensure that all technical and commercial contractual obligations are met in accordance with customer and Company objectives.
· To enable regular and scheduled technical / progress reviews with Customers and other stakeholders.
The Candidate - You will have an Honours Degree or equivalent, with significant experience of Production Management within a complex engineering industry.You will be experienced in managing a medium sized mixed disciplined team. You will be accomplished in team building, decision making and target setting. Familiar with all aspects of the project life cycle from design to production, including formal reviews, programme control, risk management, cost control and customer negotiation. You will be able to deploy a vision for delivering operational efficiency and agility within an operations environment with extensive knowledge / experience of project management systems, planning, supply chain strategies, ERP and MRP2.
