A tier one Investment Bank have an excellent opportunity for an Oracle DBA within a specialist technology area in their business. The role will entail the technical management and coordination of issues and projects primarily involving installation, configuration and on-going administration of Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server Databases and Microsoft Server operating systems. The primary skillset for this role will be Oracle Database Administration, but a key requirement for the candidate is a willingness to cross-train in both Sybase and SQL Server. You will also be involved with recommendations for project management, design and planning within these areas, and provide DBA support for the Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server development teams. To be considered for this role you must have significant experience of Oracle database administration (Oracle 9i / 10g ), UNIX operating system ( Sun 8/ 9/ 10 ) and Microsoft systems administration (Windows Server 2000/ 2003), ideally within the financial/ banking sector. Any additional knowledge of SAN technologies, SQL Server, Sybase and Virtualisation would be highly advantageous but not essential
