We require an expert interim resource, to be available to support the Gateway and Dashboard Programmes. The person will work to the Head of Programme Support.
The programme is required to demonstrate a robust argument for the investment funds it required to deliver the programme. The Business Case Lead will be expected to own the development process.
Business Cases have to be completed to the stringent standards required for approval by Stakeholder groups, Programme Board, Agency Management Board, Capital Investment Branch and Her Majesty’s Treasury Approval.
NHS Connecting for Health has a set of template business case documents and MS Excel appraisal models with which the supplier will be expected to work.
We are looking for candidates;
•Ability to produce complex and high quality documents.•Provide leadership in the development of the business case and obtain co-operation and input from a range of staff and stakeholders•Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with a range of stakeholders around the business case. Stakeholders include members of the Agency Management Board
•Excellent IT skills, developing complex spreadsheet models and use of word processing packages. •Ability to take a structured and logical approach to problem solving coupled with a pragmatic approach to delivery
•Ability to define and specify business
requirements
•Experience in developing business cases and related investments in the NHS which have won approval. Ideally some of which will be of significant value (ca: £30M)
•Track record in delivering complex business cases
•Sound understanding of the NHS financial regime relating to funding of CfH investments •Previous experience of developing a business case for investment by the national programme for IT or other national project or body responsible for Health IT in the last five years.
•Experience of CfH projects
