Job Requirements:
Our client is looking for a Technical Author to work within their pre-contracts and bid team. You will be working closely with the Business Development Manager by supporting the tender and proposals activities including documentation for large scale infrastructure projects and framework contracts. The main purpose of the Technical Writer role is to assist in the production of submissions presented clients to reflect and promote the vision, image and aim of the company.

The individual will also be responsible for editing and analysing all knowledge management content, identifying trends, and evaluating legacy support documentation. This position will best suit an individual with high standards of quality, who excels in a high-performance environment, and who builds collaborative working relationships.

The main responsibilities of the role will be: -
1.) To produce manuals and updating of documentation
2.) To provide assistance to Business Managers at tender and contract stage
3.) Re-write complex text from diverse sources into clear and concise English
4.) Apply formatting styles correctly to ensure consistent document layout and appearance, particularly for moving from one document style to another.

We are looking for applicants who are computer literate in Word, have a working knowledge of Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Will consider external training for Adobe Preferably will possess some experience in the production of technical publications.

In addition, good grounding in IT skills or an IT background, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A very high standard of writing, copy editing and proof-reading skills are also required.

Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
