A Project Management Consultancy has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Planner using Primavera or MS Project on a Permanent basis or long term contract. You will be responsible for drawing up project schedules and prioritise resources across ca 100 co-current projects being executed all on one operational site. From million pound projects to very small scale which will be a mixture of Construction, Process, Energy efficiency, and secondary Pharmaceutical projects. Typical annual capital expenditure is £14M per annum.
You will be Planning for Client resources, Engineering and Design management resources, and also individual sub-contractor resources (Structural Steel, Pipework, ductwork, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, Building Works) providing programmes to 4 Senior Project managers, and 4 project engineers. Whilst maintaining a 'top ten' list of crucial projects, whose programmes will be maintained under all circumstances.
The non-crucial projects will be allowed to flex in a controlled manner such that resources are consumed at a realistic & manageable level. As well as checking progress out on site speaking with trades and contractors to ensure future progress is as predicted and on schedule.
Ideally you will be an experienced Primavera or MS Project user with a proven track record in a similar environment be able to provide templates for the above projects that can be tailored to suit the details of the specific projects. You will be the sole dedicated planning resource based on site.
