Main Responsibilities for the role will be as follows.
Located in Stevenage. Will be single technical resource on site supporting the following infrastructure.
Team 1:
80 Desktops
2 Networked Printers
1 Sun Unix server
3 Windows servers
1 Lotus Notes server Hardware and OS support only
Team 2:
35 Desktops
2 Networked Printers
1 Domain Controller (Windows 2000 server)
Team 3:
33 Desktops
1 Networked Printer
Day to day tasks:
Desktop Support general support for PC and laptop users, including help with standard desktop software and hardware support, software installation and desktop anti-virus.
Server Support the support and maintenance of server hardware and operating systems including server anti-virus, security patches, capacity monitoring and pro-active fault detection.
Application Support support for applications including fault reporting and resolution, and management of 3rd party suppliers.
Printing Support support of network print queues, printer configuration, and printer hardware (but not consumables).
Network Administration creation, maintenance, and deletion of user accounts, including password resets, access management.
Backup and Restore the regular backup of data from servers and restoration of data as required (excluding Lotus Notes).
