My client, one of 2008's top 50 Best Workplaces according to the Financial Times, are looking for a Service Delivery Manager to join them in a permanent position.
You will be required to work within the Information Systems Department alongside two other Service Delivery Managers, and will be accountable for aspects of the day-to-day operation of information systems and technology infrastructure. You will also take prime responsibility for one or more ITIL disciplines.
The key requirements of the role are to:
Create and maintain a catalogue of available services, determining service level requirements and negotiating and agreeing service levels.
Ensure that service delivery meets SLAs through managing business expectations, implementing improvement plans and ensuring that contracts are fit for purpose.
Diagnose service delivery problems.
Establish and maintain operational methods, procedures and facilities, and review them regularly.
Monitor service delivery and record relevant information.
Take appropriate action to investigate and resolve incidents and problems in systems and services.
Apply and maintain tools, techniques and processes to manage Configuration Items.
Ensure that the policy and standards for capacity management are fit for purpose.
Own the service continuity planning process and lead the implementation of resulting plans.
Maintain a broad understanding of the commercial IT environment, and support the Commercial Team to develop and manage contracts with suppliers.
Take responsibility for the liaison between organisations and designated suppliers.
Draft and maintain procedures and documentation for applications support.
An ITIL qualification is essential for this role, as is demonstrable experience of working in an IT Service Management capacity. Experience of managing internal and external stakeholders would also be ideal.
