Websphere Administrator - WAS, AIX, Java, J2ee, DB2, TCP/ IP - Accrington
The opportunity has arisen for an experienced WAS, AIX, Java, J2EE, DB2, TCP/ IP Websphere Administrator to join a leading leisure retail industry player who are backed by a major international organisation
To perform the installation and configuration and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a Websphere runtime environment
This will include the following products: WAS,WAS/ ND, Commerce Suite, Process Server, Portal, Product Center
Major Areas of Responsibility:
? Websphere Application Server (WAS) and WAS/ ND Administration based on AIX
? WAS and WAS/ ND configuration and trouble shooting errors and issues
? WAS and WAS/ ND installation, upgrades and patching
? WAS and WAS/ ND performance and testing
? IBM HTTP Server Configuration, troubleshooting and performance
Experience in the following is essential:
? Experience with WAS as well as WAS/ ND setup Cells, nodes, applications at V5 & V6
? understanding of security setup within WAS
? understanding of Java and J2EE
? understanding of Application deployment
? experience with shell scripting
? knowledge of databases preferably DB2 but not obligatory
? at least 1 years experience with AIX administration
? TCP/ IP Network familiarity
Experience in the following is advantageous:
? Experience with JACL or Jython
? WAS and WAS/ ND design and architecture
? Experience of Websphere Process Server, Websphere MQ or Websphere Commerce Suite
? Commercial experience of Internet Technologies
