The client is the world's leading publisher and owner of some of the world's most exclusive media and entertainment brands. Over the last 10 years they have grown hugely by acquisition. They now need to introduce a world-class corporate infrastructure to all of their companies - which will include a 5 year technology driven business transformation program. We have been retained to execute a high profile recruitment campaign aimed at appointing “Best of Breed” technology professionals into several new leadership positions. You will be a Change Agent and a leader who would welcome the challenge of turning around the IT organisation by introducing structure and discipline and making it into a front-line strength within the business. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Infrastructure and with a dotted line to the Head of PMO, this is a new position for an Infrastructure Project Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to implement a new program of IT projects within Infrastructure in line with standards and best practices of the new PMO. The Role – 1. Working closely with both the PMO function and the IT internal infrastructure team and key stakeholders, this person will deliver visibility and drive progress and delivery across a programme of IT projects within Infrastructure, to include network (LAN and WAN), storage (SAN), servers, telephony, VoIP, Active Directory, security, and core application standards 2. Full project management responsibility including; project scope, resourcing (third party and internal), project budgeting progress, testing, implementation and change control 3.Create and gain approval for and manage project budget 4. Create and maintain all project documentation 5. Create and manage a stakeholder communication plan for assigned projects. The Candidate – 1. Excellent technical knowledge of infrastructure implementations using wide technologies (MPLS, Cisco, SANs, VoIP, enterprise Microsoft platforms, Sharepoint, Avaya telephony platform, digital technologies, ecommerce platforms) is required 2. 10 years experience of project and programme management within a fast paced and challenging commercial environment 3. Experience of management of all project scales from small to £multi-million, enterprise-wide projects 4. Technical project management focus, primarily within Microsoft .NET/ SQL server environment, with complex legacy/ enterprise mixed systems architecture 5. Experience of (multi-site) technical server, desktop and network implementation, infrastructure upgrades & company integration projects 6. Commercially aware and experienced with Vendor Management 7.
