Role: Unix/ Linux to be a member of an engineering team.
Responsible for the daily management of complex Unix/ Linux infrastructures.
Will work with a team on development and deployment projects.
This is an ideal opportunity to move from engineering into an Architectural role.
Skills and experience: Minimum 3 years experience running . and maintaining Unix/ Linux infrastructures.Must have management knowledge in at leats one of the following platforms :HP-UX , Solaris and Linux. Must have managemnt and support knowledge in the following disciplines: Installation and Customisation Systems administration Patch Management Software installation Clustering Disk management(SAN) Tuning Upgrade manAgement TCP/ IP DHCP DNS NIS NFS Ideally have experience in the following disciplines: Service management tools Shell scripting Perl C Code This role is based on a 5 day week, undertaking a professional work day, on an 8 hour a day basis.
