Senior Consultant - S.W.I.F.T, FpML, FIX, financial services, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Windows, Unix, Operating Systems, pre-sales, post-sales, RDBMS, Java, HTML, JSP, Reconciliations, Financial Messaging, Derivatives, - Bristol
Senior Consultant required to work for global leader in the development of financial software for the Financial Services Sector. Pre-sales or post-sales exposure would be essential for this role as you will work closely with new and existing clients. Technical experience with back end databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or Sybase essential as well as experience with Operating Systems such as Unix or Windows. You will also ideally have experience with Jave based technologies such as Websphere, WebLogic, HTML, Java or JSP. Exposure to Financial Services Software such as FIX, FpML and SWIFT would be of benefit in this role.
The role is a technical position requiring knowledge and to pre-sales or post-sales engagements. You will be required to act as a customer interface between the technical development team and the client within financial services, dealing with multiple engagements for leading investment banks around the UK and internationally. Working from initial requirement stage through to working with the development team on the technical delivery of solutions, you will be the point of contact for global clients. From your interaction with clients, you will generate commercial opportunities. More specifically you will be involved in Payments, Securities transactions, Reconciliation processing, Corporate Actions and Financial Messaging.
You will be a customer facing individual with excellent communication and presentation skills. You will need to have a flexibility to UK wide and international travel as you will be acting as their point of contact for senior consulting engagements and from a technical view point as well.
The role is based in Bristol and applications will be welcomed from candidates based within a commutable distance of these sites such as Cardiff, Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset or Wiltshire. The salary is negotiable and would be dependent on candidates background and expertise and also comes with generous bonus and benefits package.
