Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Author to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be writing technical documents and job plans to satisfy regulatory requirements.
The role will require you to attend team planning/ briefing meetings and question engineering staff and managers to clarify technical issues, as well as obtaining information to enable you to write procedures and job plans. You will also need to liaise with in-house subject matter experts and author any documents required to satisfy regulatory requirements.
Further duties include:
- writing SOP's and validation documents for engineering areas and projects.
- commissioning, coordinating or preparing illustrations
- indexing and cataloguing material
- copy-editing the work of colleagues within the organisation.
- proof reading technical documents.
Applicants should have experience within a Mechanical/ Electrical engineering background, along with experience of the standards required within a building services and process engineering environment.
Ideally you will have a minimum of HNC Mechanical/ similar Engineering discipline, coupled with practical industrial experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Experience of Visio and/ or Maximo software would be an advantage, as would experience of training out procedures.
