Essential: C# .net server side and GUI, Winforms, SQL server or Sybase
Beneficial: Excel VBA, Unix, COM, Agile and RAD development experience
Fantastic opportunity in a top tier investment bank in London. The role is working within the Commodities and Rates Exotics and Pricing team as a RAD developer. The role will involve full analysis, design and implementation of front office trading tools. The team are currently developing a tactical risk tool for traders, which provides a real-time view of their PnL/ risk from multiple trading systems. The role will involve sitting on the trading desk making strategic enhancements in C# for the Exotic products and implementing the system on to the oil and metal's desk.
Candidates must be very analytical and have strong communication skills to work with traders. You must have a good understanding of agile processes and ideally experience working within a RAD team. You must be a strong all round developer with both GUI and Server - side development experience ideally gain developing multi-threaded real-time applications. Investment banking is not essential however it is very desirable, non-banking candidates must be exceptional!
Candidates must be degree educated in a mathematical or scientific discipline to a 2.1 standard, ideally 1st class degree. You should be a very confident C# developer ideally with excel VBA experience.
