Our client is one of the worlds leading Generics Pharmaceuticals Manufacturer. They are currently at an exciting period of growth, and in the process of moving to a state of the art facility.
As part of this growth they currently require an Outbound Manager who will manage all of the outbound shipping movements process from the new logistics centre, and lead, manage, motivate and develop the team leaders and operators working within the Outbound process.
The Outbound Manager will:
+ Ensure that all the picking production zones are adequately resourced in order to fulfil the allocated waves.
+ To make sure that there is a smooth flow of master carton picking for order fulfilment and allocation replenishment from the automatic storage and retrieval system (AS/ RS)
+ To be responsible for ensuring that all allocation replenishment is completed to all pick by light (PBL) flow racks so as to avoid any delays to the picking.
+ Maintain compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOP's) to ensure order fulfilment accuracy within PBL.
+ To inspect and correct the content of all boxes and cartons sent to the check stations for any reason to provide order fulfilment accuracy.
+ To provide value added services to the checking stations as needed e.g. the inclusion of product data sheets.
+ Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues in accordance with organisational policy.
+ To be responsible that all workforce behaviours are compliant with all relevant policies and legislation including health and safety.
+ To be accountable for the continuous improved efficiency and accuracy of processes and procedures ensuring that working practices represent best practice and are fully compliant with all relevant policies and legislation.
The Outbound Manager will have:
•Demonstrable track record of delivering, demanding objectives against time constraints.
•Experience supervising a busy Outbound Area.
•Experience in managing people
•Experienced in producing clear SOPs.
•Experience of working in a sophisticated warehouse environment including a warehouse management system such as Red Prairie, Manhattan Associates PKMS and RF equipment.
•Good working knowledge of internal and external regulations and requirements including GxP, COSHH, HASWA.
Location: Leeds
Salary: £28k – £32k
