Due to recent long-term project wins this leading software company is looking for a software engineer with strong C skills on a UNIX or Linux platform to join their growing design and development teams. This company is a renowned name in high-reliability applications, developing and globally distributing high performance software solutions to some of the world's largest companies. Ongoing product development takes place at the European R&D centre based in Dorset, the core development team is the engine room for the development of innovative products and solutions.

Required:

- UNIX/ Linux -based development in C - this is NOT an embedded role

Desirable:

- Windows/ Mac OS X
- C++
- Scripting languages such as Perl or Python
