SQL Server Project DBA - 2005, 64 bit, SAN performance, Mirroring, Clustering, Tuning, Banking
SQL Server DBA required to work an initial three month contract in the city. DBAs with strong MSSQL skills in a production support and project based Banking environment should apply. Candidates will have experience in the following areas - SQL2005 64bit, Performance and tuning, migrations, SAN performance experience, Database mirroring, SQL Clustering and Logshipping. Candidates will have database Architectural ability and report writing experience. All candidates will have exposure to both a production and development environment and have experience of working in the financial sector.
The candidate will probably have experience of being the project leader (or being the technical lead) of MSSQL/ Sybase projects involving business critical systems (e.g. new builds, multi-way replication, performance tuning projects). Additionally, the candidate will be expected to work alongside development teams in an advisory capacity and to present ideas and project plans to senior management.
