This is basically a C role, PROGRAMMING ATCA type, blade-based Systems under Red Hat / RHEL Linux or Carrier Grade SuSE (or similar)
ATCA's can be grown into very large Systems, with literally thousands (or even tens of thousands) of CPU Cores...
Paying a package of £50k basic + pension + bonus & full package of benefits
Many Systems can be configured into Nodes or Switching Blades and inter-connected in a variety of ways to form HPC Clusters.
Some ATCA Applications are Telecomms Switching, Interactive Media, VoD / Live (on-line) recording, even PSTN Switching or other uses...
Experience of programming ATCA Systems, or any Multi-Node / Multi-CPU / Multi-Core Systems (especially with pipelining, Message-Passing, VIA, Multi-Threading experience or 'shared-memory' expertise) could be useful.
You will require a good knowledge of Linux and C Development and some Linux Kernel-level / Device-Driver knowledge.
