BUILD AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGER – CVS DEVELOPMENT SKILLS - JAVA UNIX SHELL CALYPSO ORACLE CVS ANT CRUISE CONTROL SEE BEYOND MQ JMS XML. My client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank is looking for a Build and Environment Manager with development skills and experience with CVS. The successful candidate will be working closely with the development and operations team to develop a process that will allow for continuous development builds and production refreshes, automated unit testing and code coverage checks using the various tool set provided. My client is looking for a Build Manager that is client facing with good communication skills in order to communicate specified solutions back to the technical/ development team. The Build and Environment manager is sought to play a pivotal role and take ownership for the environment, deployment, and configuration in which the Calypso System resides and to be responsible determining availability of testing environments that interface with Calypso.

Responsibilities include –
•Synchronisation of production and development environments
•Gathering the requirements for that build cycle
•Ensuring the stability of the environment
•Extract the correct versions of the software from a CVS repository and compiling them as required.
•Identify and resolve conflicts and dependencies

Technical skills include – Solid understanding of Java development cycle, UNIX Sun Solaris, Unix Shell scripting, Oracle 10 G, CVS, ANT and Cruise Control. Knowledge of See Beyond, MQ, JMS and XML is nice to have.
