Intermediate/ Senior Commercial Manager - Rail - Consultancy
Job Role
A leading consultancy requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage major rail projects, primarily from Bristol and Swindon. The portfolio of work is to include permanent way (p way), infrastructure (stations/ bridges/ depots etc) and signalling or M&E projects of varying values.
Salary dependent on experience with benefits including:
" Company Car/ Allowance

Responsibilities
" To take a leading role in setting team objectives and priorities
" To plan and control projects through to completion
" To create a team environment in which everyone is committed to producing a quality outcome
" To gain confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication
" To liaise with other managers to ensure consistency of service delivery and to identify opportunities for developing both the quality and profitability of the service
" To ensure that control procedures are in place and adhered to in all areas of the business
" To ensure that senior management have qualified information on the progress of each project on a regular basis
Skills / Experience Required
" An energetic and motivated professional with natural drive and innovative flair
" A tenacious individual who defines problems and implements change
" A perceptive individual who can influence people in a changing environment. A broad thinker with an inherent ability to 'get the job done'.
" Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
" Good presentation skills
" Management skills
" Negotiating and corresponding with clients forming a strong working relationship in true partnership
" A team builder who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both within the Company and outside
" The ability to advise and guide colleagues in a supportive, interactive fashion
" Must have excellent core surveying skills
