Our client, a global financial institution has developed an Accounting and Controlling Program which aims at delivering a Group shared application, based on SAP, which will be used by several divisions throughout Europe. The technical element of this program will be lead by Portugal, through its Solution Centre which is the dedicated Service Support Team. The Solution Centre will render top-class support services to its various customers and a Project Delivery Team, responsible for project work.
Our client is looking to reinforce the Solution Centre by appointing a Manager, who has a strong financial and SAP background, to lead this unit of 20-30 people.
Key accountabilities for the role
§Project manage the technical elements of medium and large changes to the system, by coordinating the work of the different technical teams, TRM, ABAP, BASIS and external service providers;
§Assist in the technical design of the solution;
§Be responsible for the financial results and KPI's of the Investment Accounting Solution Centre (activity rates, BAU spend, etc.);
§Overall team management (recruitment, training, development, compensation and retention);
§Analyse and discuss business requirements, Conduct workshops with the business and business analysts;
§Coach team members in developing their business and SAP know-how in this domain;
§Contribute to the definition and implementation of a customer and employee satisfaction action plan;
Skills and experience required for the role
§Solid experience in SAP configuration (5+ years) predominantly in the treasury and risk management modules (SAP FSCM-TRM): transaction manager, securities, money market, foreign exchange and derivatives;
§Excellent knowledge of major trading products within financial markets, experience in the bank or insurance industry is considered a plus
§Good communication, organisation and leadership skills;
§Be self motivated and entrepreneur;
§Excellent written and spoken English.
This role also offers the opportunity to gain experience working in International projects, with a variety of different systems.
