My Client, a leading energy company, requires an Applications & Services Manager. The successful incumbent will have experience of leading global operations organisations specifically with an emphasis on operating global applications based on a variety of technologies. The candidate will also have strong and effective communication, networking and influencing skills alongside excellent people relationship management and coaching skills. Demonstrable expertise in implementing, managing & improving ITIL processes; ITILv3 accreditation to a minimum of Foundation level and a commercial awareness with prior experience of managing and negotiating outsourcing agreements to the value of >$5mn is essential. An in depth understanding of other relevant process and methodologies - such as Six Sigma, CVP, CoBit are required and desirably the candidate will be able to demonstrate domain or business knowledge relevant to specific Function(s) activity. Key accountabilities to list a few include: Ensuring a comprehensive applications services strategy (3yr timeframe) is developed in consultation with & communicated to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring availability of applications and services meets business expectations / service levels, develop and maintain service lines to meet business needs, ensure the overall IT&S delivery is aligned with Function business needs, ensure appropriate MI is held to enable all aspects of service & performance management and continuous improvement and also ensure appropriate Disaster Recovery plans & processes are in place, tested regularly & agreed with relevant stakeholders.
