My client in Canary Wharf is currently searching for a Application Architect / Lead Technical Analyst.
Application architecture / lead technical analyst in strategic Asset Servicing / Corporate Actions team. Responsible for analysis/ design of J2EE/ Java-based systems.
Should be a self-starter, motivated, with aptitude and willingness to be a learner. Must demonstrate the ability to analyse and understand complex problems, make sound technical decisions/ recommendations, and communicate solutions in a proactive manner. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to articulate concepts effectively to business users and technologists at all levels. Must demonstrate a keen interest to learn the business and its processes, in order to best support internal users and external clients.
· Understanding of full software development life cycle
· Analysis of software systems with effective client communications
· Design using latest object/ service oriented technologies including both functional and technical design
· Development with understanding of latest tools in Java/ J2EE with good documentation
· Develop and maintain relationships with other technology teams including other global application development teams and infrastructure (e.g. DBA, server teams, web services, etc)
· Develop and maintain relationships with users, including front office, back office and other internal groups.
· Will be expected to provide technical guidance and leadership to other developers, especially in offshore Centres of Excellence
WORK EXPERIENCE/ BACKGROUND:
Minimum 5 years of IT Experience with a minimum of 3 years in analysis/ design of software systems in J2EE/ Java platforms. Weblogic knowledge, 2Experience in Investment banking/ financial industry
HPS Knowledge
TECHNICAL/ BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Analytical skills. 3+ yrs Design & Development, Java 3+ yrs Design & programming, 2+ yrs Object Orientated Analysis, Design and Programming
· Weblogic/ Hibernate/ Web services
· EJB/ JMS/ JDBC/ JSP
· OOA/ OOD/ OOP/ XML
· Framework/ Tools: Spring/ Struts/ Ant/ Clearcase
