AS A LONG ESTABLISHED AND VERY HIGHLY RESPECTED WORLDWIDE M&E CONSULTANCY WE ARE LOOKING FOR A CAD TECHNICIAN TO STRENGTHEN OUR TEAM IN EDINBURGH
YOU WILL NEED TO BE EXPERIENCED IN AutoCAD AND ON BOTH 2D & 3D CAD SYSTEMS. PREFERABLY (BUT NOT ESSENTIALLY) HAVE EXPERIENCE OF WORKING ON BOTH MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL BUILDING SERVICE DESIGNS.

THE ROLE
With a proven track record in the delivery of projects with high volume drawing you will not only provide CAD drawings from a wide variety M&E designs, you will also assist in the development of systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD system is used to the greatest effect. You will provide guidance, support and advice to design engineers on the planning and management of advanced CAD techniques.
THE CANDIDATE
Minimum HND but preferably a degree in related engineering design or building services equivalent
Minimum 2 years experience in a building services consultancy or contractor environment
Proven track record in the creation of 2D drawings
Good computer and IT skills
Fully computer literate in AutoCAD 2007
Confident proactive manner, able to take the lead when required in challenging situations
Able to work on a one to one basis but also be a good team player
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES WOULD BE
3D CAD experience including AutoCAD MEP or equivalent 3D packages
Building Services project specific experience
THE PACKAGE
Salary £22-£26K depending on experience, life assurance, pension, private healthcare, gym subsidy, annual subscriptions, dental insurance, various voucher schemes and prp bonus plus more
