Senior SQL DBA - Banking - Canary Wharf - to £60,000 + benefits
A leading City financial organisation have a new requirement for a Senior SQL Database Administrator within their SQL DBA Team.
Role:
To play the lead role in the maintenance, development and support of the businesses databases. The Database team provides all production and development support for all of the businesses database applications.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and a technical escalation point for the DBA Team
Ensure co-ordination and communication is maintained between all relevant parties in system critical situations.
Work with IT development teams to ensure that appropriate support is provided for new applications.
Required Skills and experience:
Experience of playing a senior role in database administration, design Production environment.
An exceptional level of Experience in SQL Server Administration, Analysis and Design (SQL Server 2000/ 2005).
Experience of working within the Banking and Financial sector beneficial.
The ability to plan and manage work and present a clear list of tasks and time frames.
Any experience of the following an advantage; Versant, Oracle database systems. Citrix, Web Development, Clearcase and Remedy.
