Senior Hardware Design Engineer - CPU - California, USA

Our client, one of the world's top tier CPU technology companies, has entered an exciting new growth phase and is recruiting for an experienced Senior Digital Hardware Engineer to join their revolutionary processor technology team set to grow significantly over the coming months. This is a chance to be part of a significant leap forward in CPU development and work on completely new CPU designs from the ground up, from concept to delivery.

Working as part of a world-class team, you will be responsible for:

*Working alongside Senior and Principal designers on the entire front-end design cycle, from specification, architecture, RTL design, verification through to customer support

*RTL design, using VHDL or Verilog

*Verification (using SystemVerilog, UVM, formal verification etc)

*The role will also involve

*Prototyping using emulation systems and FPGA

In this role you will work alongside Principal Engineers and Architects, as well as external vendors and customers. There is plenty of opportunity to travel to the UK and the Far East.

Required:

*An good University degree in Electronic Engineering / Computer Science or similar field

*At least 3 years' experience in RTL design for ASIC or FPGA-based designs

*VHDL / Verilog expertise

*Strong knowledge and keen interest in computer architecture and arithmetic

*Prior experience in processor design and processor peripherals would be highly advantageous

*A high level of creativity and impeccable attention to detail

*Excellent communication skills

*Enthusiastic, proactive working attitude
