ABOUT THE ROLE:

The SQL Server Application Support Analyst will be part of an Application Support/Infrastructure team of 15 that are responsible for enhancing the current IT Systems and developing new IT Systems while providing professional support to the global users. As SQL Server Application Support Analyst you will act as a point of contact for user departments for many different IT Systems and will liaise with users and 3rd party suppliers therefore for this role it is essential you are confident liaising with clients and posses excellent communication both verbal and written.

In addition to the IT Systems the SQL Server Application Support Analyst will also support the web infrastructure including the 24/7 website and hosted platform. You will ensure that all application and system issues are dealt with effectively and carry out system development work as required and to the technical specifications provided.

The successful SQL Server Application Support Analyst would work a 35 hour week with the option of flexi start time. You would also benefit greatly from external training, in the coming months there are courses on SharePoint and Salesforce that would enable you to build on your technical expertise

ABOUT YOU:

As SQL Server Application Support Analyst you will be well experienced using SQL Server and be well versed in performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning using T-SQL.

Skills/Experience in the following areas is what my client are seeking:

- SQL Server 2005 / 2008 / 2012

- Performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning of Indexes, T-SQL and stored procedures

- SQL Server Profiler

- SQL Server High Availability / Clustering

- SSRS

- SSIS

- Knowledge of Windows Server (Beneficial)

- .NET Programming (Beneficial)

From a non-technical perspective the SQL Server Application Support Analyst will have strong organisation and problem solving skills and be very confident working with many different areas of the business.
