Digital Illustrator/Graphic Designer

Our client, a world leading research centre, are looking for an experienced digital illustrator/graphic designer to join their public engagement team on maternity cover for up to 12 months. Working out of the Cambridge office you will be designing and creative animations and illustrations for their website and print media.

You will exchange ideas with other team members about the best way to communicate complex ideas and concepts visually. You will work to internal style guidelines to ensure a consistent illustration style.

Essential Skills

· Have a visual arts/animation/design degree qualification, or equivalent experience

· Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in Adobe creative suite graphic design packages (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

· Be proficiency with Adobe Flash Professional CS6 - (Action script 2 and 3 files).

· Be able to demonstrate examples of website and digital design and should have an extensive portfolio with URLs.

Desired Skills

· Ideally you will have experience in creating digital illustrations and graphic design

· Good drawing skills, both digital and on paper

· An ability to work in and contribute to a multidisciplinary project team.

· Experience in video/audio editing software and conversion of video formats

· Interest in science
