Senior Functional / Application Consultant

Qualifications and Experience

1. Will typically have worked within a Customer Facing Support/ Consultancy, Development or Professional Services role.

2. Will typically have a minimum of 5 years experience working as a Consultant for ERP and or related solutions -i.e. Enterprise wide CRM

3. Will ideally have a minimum of 5 years experience working with Dynamics NAV

Role:

Take responsibility for any functional analysis tasks in order to ensure the successful delivery of the solution. Tasks may include but will not be restricted to; planning and running workshops, attending meetings (internal and external), analysing existing systems and consulting with the customer.

Taking responsibility for the creation and provision of documentation of the functional analsyis and formal handover to all relevant parties. This will include configuration documentation, functional requirement specifications, design documentation, user documentation, minutes and any other documentation

Preparing and agreeing cost estimates with line and project management following discussions with relevant departments.

To develop and maintain overall functional knowledge of the application and provide application help and transfer of knowledge to both customers and internal staff

To be a recognised business specialist in the industry relevant to the application and to provide an in-depth consultancy role within that area of expertise.

To take responsibility for leading the functional acceptance of software from Development and ensuring it has been written in accordance with the specification produced. This may involve functional testing against any specifications.

Pro-actively develop and maintain customer relationships and customer site knowledge in order to recognise and maximise possible revenue streams.

Development of training material (where required or requested) and where necessary delivery of training (both to customers and internal teams)..

Mentoring and assisting less senior members of the Application Consultancy team.

Any other appropriate duties as reasonably requested by line management

To prepare and agree with line management time and cost estimates, following discussions with other relevant department members.

Expert knowledge of the Application(s) within area of work

4Good working knowledge of other IT applications, i.e. MS Project or MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) essential.

5Basic working knowledge of SQL database engine essential
