Unicenter Specialist - Hook
ROLE SUMMARY:
Infrastructure Analyst to undertake Infrastructure design, test and implementation for Defence Services customers. This role requires excellent skills in Windows and CA Unicenter technologies including problem solving and new implementation. Initially the role is required to support the CSIS account.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
Undertake the design, build, test, documentation and implementation of infrastructure changes pertaining to CA Unicenter toolset running on Windows servers. Main tools used are CA Servicedesk, . Working with the Technical Lead and Project Manager assist with the planning and implementation of design changes to the JOCS infrastructure, including the creation of test rigs, production builds and related documentation. Undertake testing and provide 3rd line support as required.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of evolving MS and CA Unicenter technologies
ESSENTIALS SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of NT4 server and W2k3 server build and implementation.
DHCP, DNS and WINS
Active Directory implementation and administration
CA Unicenter toolset
Veritas netbackup
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar, Wintel role.
Project management awareness/ understanding
Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written; experienced in creating design and build documentation.
Team player
MCSE (or ability to demonstrate knowledge to that level or higher)
DESIRABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Exchange 2003
MOD security standards
ITIL awareness at least to foundation level
