If you're a highly skilled programme manager, Broadband Delivery UK can offer you an exciting opportunity at the heart of a major infrastructure programme.

Extending the benefits of superfast broadband and mobile connectivity: that's the goal of Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK). Part of the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), our ambition is to extend the benefits of superfast broadband and mobile connectivity across the UK. We're creating ‘super-connected cities' supporting businesses to access faster broadband and rolling out wifi in public buildings; bringing high-speed broadband to rural communities; and improving mobile infrastructure - a vast, £1.2bn delivery programme that's already well underway.

As Head of our newly created Programme Management Office, you'll provide programme assurance and management information for the BDUK Chief Executive. It's a chance to be part of one of the government's top 40 infrastructure programmes, which is set to revolutionise communications in the UK. Day-to-day, you'll lead the Programme Management Office, maintaining the full range of PPM documentation. You'll also be responsible for setting the performance management framework with our programme/project managers.

It's a key role in a fast-moving, high-profile environment. You must therefore have significant experience leading a programme management function. Thanks to this background, you'll have an in-depth understanding of project and programme management controls including Risk & Issue Management; Planning & Dependency Management; and Governance and Reporting. What's more, you'll be motivated leader, who can drive improvement and think strategically.

Always up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies, you'll embrace innovation and the challenge of working with multiple stakeholders.
