New Business Sales Manager
Home Based within UK
Salary - To £38K + Benefits
Sectors - Aerospace, Defence, Electronics
Experience – Minimum of 5 years selling experience, field based preferably within the Military, Defence, Security and possibly high-end electronic markets.
The Role.
We are now looking to fill a new role for a hungry field-based sales individual to actively find and manage Business Opportunities UK Wide. In essence there are companies out there with the manufacturing opportunities that we want. This is a completely new role, therefore a fantastic opportunity for an individual to carve out his or her own role.
This individual will be responsible for seeking out contacts (there is no telesales team seeking out warm leads) with guidance from existing team members. You will establish and build business relationships within identified customers in all functional areas including, but not limited to: customer Project Teams, Procurement, Engineering, Development + Production. You will manage customer relationships from initial contact to project completion and, in conjunction with internal functions, all aspects of sales process from finding prospects to order fulfilment. The person will be primarily field-based, with company car (30K miles pa.) and other comms tools. Geographically the individual can be based anywhere as it is anticipated they will be travelling most of the time, so the position will be home based. The majority of their time will be with customers and any major project work will be undertaken by internal staff. Person will be measured against financial order targets, customer visits, RFQs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:-
· Proven field sales experience, creating and winning new business within the Military, Defence, Security and possibly high-end electronic markets.
· A minimum of 5 years selling experience, field based. We do not want a Sales manager - rather a hungry field-based sales individual. As a minimum, this will be the candidates 2nd position within sales as a raw recruit is unlikely to possess the depth of experience required.
· Evidence of success in similar role. Used to £5 million + budgets.
· Electronic/ mechanical engineering background. Export/ International experience desired. May have Key account management experience.
· Good communication skills.
· Clean driving licence.
