Java Architect required in Central London as part of this software house's continued growth. In this technically demanding role, the Architect will take on responsibility for specification, design and implementation of new products using Java/ J2EE/ Java EE 5. You will be able to provide input to the overall technical direction as well as technically leading the development teams. This company have enjoyed continued growth, and now that they are well established in the market, they are investing heavily in new core product development so you will have the chance to really make an impact.
The ideal candidate would have proven experience as a Java Architect, although highly experienced senior/ technical lead Java Developers would also be considered. You will need a strong understanding of Java/ J2EE/ Java EE 5 as well as good database knowledge (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL preferred). Experience architecting scalable, robust, high-availability solutions would be highly desirable.
