Our client is an Engineering Contractor specialising in the environmental / water sectors. They currently have an opportunity for an HSE Advisor to join their existing teams in the North West / North Wales.
The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:
Undertake the role of assistant CDM co-ordinator under the CDM regulations 2007
Visit construction sites, assessing hazards and monitoring the standard of safety on site
Support the work of more senior members of the team
Providing support for the control of risk
Promoting and supporting the continuing development of a culture of Safety and Health Environment awareness
Promoting and supporting compliance with and improvement of legislative requirements, including Safety and Health Environment inspections and auditing
Assisting in the identification of organisational Safety, Health and Environmental training and development needs, including the SHEQual competence of individuals,
Preparing and presenting Safety and Health Environment training sessions
Contributing to, and keeping pace with advances in Safety and Health Environment
Providing Safety and Health Environment support and advice to all levels of staff throughout the company
Applicants will need a background in safety within the construction sector, and should hold a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate, although NEBOSH Diploma is preferred. Experience of working
