Extensive investment in the development of new products and technologies has ensured Harvard Engineering is a world leader in the design, development and manufacturing of electronic HID ballasts, LED drivers and control products for the lighting industry. Our manufacturing facility in Normanton, near Wakefield houses one of the UK’s best equipped research and development laboratories.

Reporting to our Technical Director and with full support from our Sales & Marketing team, in this key role of Web Developer you will help guide the design and development of our web presence. That’ll involve producing web sites and updates using HMTL, CSS and Javascript to industry standards, taking responsibility for developing both our internal and external websites and their use, with a specific focus on ensuring messages reach target audiences. You’ll work closely with departments right across the business, from hardware design through to sales and marketing, liaising with key stakeholders to gather content. Other key tasks will include:

-overseeing the development of websites for new product ranges, advising on design and best practice

-final touch-up for images prior to publishing for both web and print

-SEO

-presenting key metrics and web analytics to senior managers.

With either a degree in IT or a design-related discipline, OR with any degree but a significant, relevant track record, you have proven skills in web design, with demonstrable experience of deploying the final solution onto Linux-based platforms, as well as:
