IT Business Support Analyst/ System Analyst/ Equity Market
One of our clients a broker-dealer business, is looking for experienced IT Support Analyst with knowledge of Bloomberg/ Reuters/ Fidessa/ MINT/ SWIFT and FIX and Equity Trading Applications. The role will combine trading floor support, connectivity support, infrastructure support, product analysis, and overall IT platform support, coordination.
Requirements: Windows NT; general desktop including Equity Trading Applications; FIX (4.0, 4.2); UNIX environment
Desired knowledge: Fidessa 1st line support; Market data and order aggregators (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, etc); MINT; SWIFT; Understanding of Connectivity protocols; Sybase (at a minimum would ideally have some type of SQL experience)
Preferred experience/ qualities include:
• Basic understanding and working knowledge in equity markets (in desktop / trade support environment).
• Providing desktop and production support:
o Trading system (ideally Fidessa) and client connectivity experience (including FIX and, ideally, Bloomberg, RTEX and/ or Swift).
o Extensive NT Desktop experience
• Good problem solving skills; good communication skills
• Testing and performing quality assurance
• Providing administration and support of Unix systems
• Administration and support Network equipment (routers, switches, etc)
• Support and management of voice hardware and voice services
• Management of telecommunications circuits and services
• Server Support (e.g. hot swap drives)
• Active Directory Administration
The candidate must be able to rapidly build relationships with the key users and IT colleagues in both London and New York.

Salary: £30K-40K
