The role of the Systems Services and Support Analyst is a varied and interesting one where the analyst will provide technical support to our client's global security technology infrastructure on 18 different security products. The products that the Technology Support Group supports fall into 3 different categories:
•Identity Management and Authentication / Authorisation
•Compliance
•Anti-Virus
The Analyst is responsible for:
•Operational support for various security products including:
•Providing on-call support
•Analysing a diverse range of complex problems and identifying/ taking corrective actions
•Defining and recommending process improvement initiatives.
•Responsible for the deployment of technical solutions to support delivery of service requests.
•Responsible for the creation and documentation of troubleshooting and support procedures.
•Coordinates systems' installations, upgrades and configuration of infrastructure changes.
Experience Required:
•TCP/ IP and McAffe or Symatec anti-virus product knowledge
Minimum of 4 years' experience in IT.
•Three or more years of hands-on operational systems experience.
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
•Specialist security training an advantage, for example CISSP.
•Strong understanding of security concepts and the ability to implement solutions based on authentication, authorisation, confidentiality and availability.
•Good interpersonal skills with a strong interest in the information security domain.
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Highly motivated with willingness to take ownership/ responsibility for their work and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Technical
•Hands on experience with supporting one or more of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 2000 and/ or Windows 2003, Linux, Unix
•Experience of supporting anti-virus products.
•Good working knowledge of LDAP design especially Active Directory or Novell Directory Services.
•Good networking infrastructure knowledge including TCP/ IP and DNS.
