Location: Cambridge
Salary: £22K - £30K
Qualifications: Degree 2.1 or higher in science or engineering and high grade A levels (As and Bs only)
Key Skills: 1yr testing experience (placement or commercial), ability to write and execute own test codes, testing techniques experience, excellent communication skills.
Desirables: exposure to C++, automated testing experience, web application testing experience.
The desktop suite of tools is in its fourth generation. The tools feature an intuitive and rich Windows user interface designed to make the system accessible to a new users as well as providing powerful facilities to experts. Advanced data visualisation techniques allow users to benefit from rapid access to
Software testers are involved in every aspect of the software development process. The testing team needs to have an in-depth understanding of the client industries and usage patterns so that they can work closely with developers from the design stage onwards. The responsibility of the testing role is not only ensuring that the production tools are bug free, but also that they provide a fluid and intuitive experience for their users.
Above all, they are looking for software testers who are bright, enthusiastic and self-motivated, who will enjoy the role and integrate well with the existing team. Good communication skills are critical, as is a flexible approach to testing and a sound eye for presentation.
