I am looking for a Unix systems administrator for a 3 month contract at a large construction company. Responsibilities include providing unix support to Sun Solaris systems.
You will be solely responsible for supporting over 20 solaris servers ranging from V240’s to fully populated 6900, in addition all storage systems (StorageTek and NetApp) and backup systems (Netbackup). Candidate must have exposure to Solaris 10 and Veritas NetBackup. Knowledge of Oracle based systems (EBS) would be a distinct advantage, as would a good working knowledge of networks and infrastructure (Firewalls etc). Appreciation of fibre networks and fibre connected storage would also be a major plus. Working in a technical team responsible for supporting an enterprise class Oracle based solution. Requirement for flexible working and on call is required
