PROPOSALS/ PROCESS ENGINEER
MAJOR STEEL/ METALS INDUSTRY EQUIPMENT
BASED CHRISTCHURCH, DORSET
As part of a small team the Proposals/ Process Engineer will be expected to carry out the proposal and process functions necessary to prepare and submit an offer to the prospective client. You will prepare a technically suitable solution in response to a customer’s enquiry; prepare technical enquiry specifications for major proprietary components and carrying out the subsequent technical discussions and clarifications and prepare technical specifications.
Other responsibilities held by the Proposals/ Process Engineer include the preparation of costing information in terms of hours and equipment costs to be incorporated into the overall estimate; liaison with other departments, such as engineering; fluids; electrical; purchasing departments, in support of the bid preparation and supporting the Sales Managers in all aspects of the technical solution
Educated to degree level in an Engineering discipline you will ideally hold a Masters degree with rolling speciality. You will be fully computer literate and familiar with all components of Microsoft Office, and have relevant Industrial experience. Ideally you will be familiar with the use of database systems and have technical experience in the Rolling industry.
