• advice & recommendations on technical &non technical issues.
• Root Cause Analysis reports.
• responsible for the Unix environment, with the overall objective of improving service levels, simplifying infrastructure, & reducing costs.
• development & improvement of the internal processes of the team
• display & practice the key disciplines of an UNIX Administrator.
• ensure all new systems are in line with the Operational Acceptance procedure.
• assist the Availability &Performance teams in the monitoring of systems.
• pro-active maintenance to minimize unplanned outages &eliminate poor performance.
Key Skills - Unix
• Unix system management initially for AIX 5.3 up to latest V6.1 on PSeries Platform, HACMP, LPARS, VIO
• TRU64, HPUX and Linux (bonus)
• High availability technologies (HACMP, TruCluster, ASE, Service-Guard)
• DNS,NFS, NIS management.
• You will be a strong Unix Administrator with proven relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in more than one platform (preferred platform AIX 5.3)
