Oracle DBA x 3, London
Oracle DBA (Oracle 9i/ 10g) required by global leading consultancies who can provide unrivalled career progression and training opportunities.
The DBA team provides 2nd/ 3rd level support for Oracle and to a lesser extent MS SQL Server. This is a dedicated team in which this role primarily involves the ongoing support of Oracle 9i / 10g RAC, ASM and associated design, integration & solutions. There is also a growing requirement to support MS SQL Server from within the team – knowledge of MS SQL Server would be desirable, with training being provided as applicable.
You will work within the Incident Management Control Centre in the already successful DBA team. Your main duties will include: Day to day support of the installed Oracle instances across the different account environments, involvement in Project work – new installations and updates to existing, database tuning and general performance, The role will include Business As Usual support, involvement in new project initiatives around the tool and the provision of OOH support on a rota basis.
The ideal candidate will have:
•At least Foundation Level knowledge of ITIL Processes
•Extensive experience in the use of Oracle 9i / 10g and associated tools and technologies (RAC, ASM, RMAN, SQLPLUS, PLSQL)
•A good understanding of the Windows/ Solaris/ HP-UX platforms that the Oracle runs on
•Experience using EARS
•Experience in the use of MS SQL Server would be beneficial
•Active server pages (beneficial)
•Team lead exp preferred
