My Defence sector client requires an experience SC Cleared Infrastructure Architect, with strong technical skills and experience working on Data Centres.
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated high level technical competence in data centres and hosting:
- A broad understanding of various client and server operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Unix, with some exposure to Linux.
- Database management systems, application servers and development tools predominantly based on Microsoft and Oracle technologies.
- SANs, servers, racks, media libraries, storage, virtualisation and backup.
A good understanding and working knowledge of:
- Networks - LAN, WAN, MAN, telephony networks, telephony applications, PSTN, VOIP, mobile voice, wireless connectivity (inc GPRS, 3G etc) contracts, routing, network switching and carrier technologies (ATM, Frame, broadband, MPLS etc).
