A Marine Projects Applications Engineer is now required to manage the engineering requirements for key marine OEM accounts (contracts in the region of £1M) to standards that satisfy Engineering, Production and customer requirements cost effectively. Your role will involve determining the suitability and sizing of the engine and attachments for installation, providing technical data and information to sales engineers to support a customer quotation, working with OEMs to evaluate field problems and help provide solutions to resolve them.

You will also action salesman’s orders, execute orders with respect to the technical content, highlight cost savings/ extras, support customer visits, identify new suppliers and instigate quality audits ensuring compliance of ISO 9002 or other relevant standards with purchasing and quality department and oversee engine testing and result evaluation.

Qualified to HND in an engineering discipline you will have both Mechanical and electrical skills with some CAD understanding. You must be capable of reading engineering drawings and have industry knowledge of marine installations. You must be confident and capable of communicating technically to suppliers and customers and have experience of design, development and validation of components.
