World-renowned Private Banking/ Investment and Asset Management company (part of a huge global financial services organisation) is seeking technically-focussed applications Project Managers to work in the Technology department delivering cutting-edge systems and solutions across the investment bank.
Project Managers will manage back-office systems development projects across areas like risk, compliance, finance and marketing, and will be responsible for delivering on time and on budget.
Required experience:
- Full appreciation of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience of managing projects within a banking (preferably investment banking or wealth management) environment
- Experience of budget responsibility in the region of £1.5m
- Strong matrix and line management
- Project Management certification (Prince 2, PMI etc.)
- PMs should have a technical background - knowledge of application architecture, UML and SQL is necessary to be suitable for this role
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience, in ideally a Computer Science or Business discipline
Suitable candidates may come from a direct banking background, or will have worked on banking client site via a leading consultancy. If you are a technically-focussed PM with strong software skills and an excellent understanding of the SDLC, then this role could be for you.
